A 10-year old boy temporarily took over the Plateau State police command as its commissioner at the weekend.
Joseph Godwin, who resumed duty at the police headquarters on Saturday as a child police commissioner, also received the child president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as the child minister of defence.
The event was an initiative of the Children Government of Nigeria who visited some military, paramilitary and police formations in the state.
The Child President, Ugendu Uchechi, commended the Nigerian police for its fight against crime. She also warned against bribery and other forms of vices among officers and men of the Nigerian Police Force.
The Commissioner of Police, Nasiru Oki, was happy to receive the Children Government of Nigeria and asked them to work hard to achieve their dreams.
Oki also tasked parents on good upbringing of their children, saying their role is to bring up their children in a godly way and when it is time for them to go and face the world, they would be able to resist evil.
