For aligning with PDP senators to pass a vote of confidence on the leadership of the senate against the instruction of the APC, two Bauchi senators may be called in to answer questions on anti party activities
This was the position of the Buhari Coalition on Peace and Support for Justice, Bauchi State Chapter, who accused the senators of acting against the decision of the party’s national and state leaderships.
Accordingly, the two senators representing Bauchi South and Bauchi Central have been given 14 days to publicly distance themselves from the instances capable of jeopardizing the party and the presidency.
The chairman of the forum, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar, explained that the two senators, Senator Ali Wakili of Bauchi South and Senator Isa Hamma of Bauchi Central, had defied the instructions of the party by aligning with PDP Senators to pass a vote of confidence on the leadership Bukola Saraki, the President of the Senate.
The forum said the senators’ action was contrary to the position of Bauchi people and the ruling party at the state and national levels stressing that it was also against the principles being canvassed for by the Presidency.
“The decision of the two senators is a clear refusal to take instructions of our party under which they were voted. It means they are out to frustrate Mr. President from accomplishing his mission of rebranding Nigeria for the good of Nigerians,” he added.
He said further that the forum would be compelled to organize a state wide protest and initiate their recall if they failed to adhere to the ultimatum.
