Enyimba FC captain, Chinedu Udoji has admitted that Vipers of Uganda, their CAF Champions League preliminary round opponents would be tough but affirmed that the People’s Elephants have the ability to book a place in the next round.
The Nigeria’s league champions were zoned against the Ugandan kings with the first leg holding in Kampala in the weekend of February 12-14 and the return leg in Aba on February 28.
Udoji told Goal that their ‘unknown’ opponents would be a hard nut to crack considering the fact that they would be travelling first but exuded optimism that Enyimba would pull through as they no new customers on the continent.
Udoji told Goal: “I’m aware of the draw and I want to say that the tie with Vipers would be very tough.
“ They are an opponent we do not know much about for now but we are confident that we are going to get the better of them.
“We are no strangers to the continental competition and the level of preparation thus far has given me reasons to be optimistic that we are going to do well.”
