News 2019 elections: RTEAN boss congratulates Governors, Senators, lawmakers-elects Published 2 months ago on March 19, 2019 By Peter Usman Share Tweet Executive National President of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Comrade Osakpamwan Eriyo, has congratulated all the Governors elect regardless the platform on the just concluded governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections held on the 9th of March, 2019. Eriyo charged both re-elected and the new elected leaders, irrespective of their political parties to jettison party politics and joined hands together with President Mohammadu Buhari in his new policies and slogan of taking Nigeria to the next level. In a press statement issued yesterday and signed by the Special Adviser to the RTEAN’s Executive president on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ben Ogbemudia, Eriyo said that the reelected governors and the new ones were elected based on the trust by their people, advising that the will of the electorates should always be a priority in dispensing the dividends of democracy. He also advised the National Assembly elect members to build a strong and good working relationship with the presidency in order to fast track the country economy. According to him, “Let the principles of the party and governance remained supreme over personal interest.” RTEAN boss reiterated that, as Federal legislators, party politics should be put aside while performing their legislative duties, bearing in mind that Nigeria is bigger than anybody. Eriy therefore urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, politicians and especially the youths in the country to be calm ahead of the rescheduled rerun elections in some states for 23rd of March, 2019 as Nigeria remains only home for all. 1,074 total views, 10 views today Related Posts 2019: INEC boss reassures credible, hitch-free electionsAhead of the 2019 elections, Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has… 2019 Elections: Presidential Results as it standsHere is the ongoing results for the 2019 Presidential elections as it stands.
