AHEAD of the 2019 governorship
election in Kwara State, concerned
youths have called on the people
to consider a technocrat to
succeed the incumbent Governor,
Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed.
The youth under the auspices
of Kwara State Youth Restoration
Project made the call yesterday
in Ilorin in an appeal letter they
submitted to the constituency
office of the Senate President, Dr.
Bukola Saraki, who is the leader
of the ruling All Progressives
Congress, APC, in the state.
The Head, Research
Department of the group, Yinka
Dallas, said the state needs an
administrator to take over from
the incumbent governor in order
to sustain the current trend of
development.
He disclosed that such a person
will not spend all the resources of
the state on politics at the expense
of good governance.
“Politicians of today have not
been able to practice politics

that gives credence to good
governance, instead they go
after their immediate interests
and those of their groups. This
has made the masses to be
at the receiving end of their
self-aggrandizing politics,
thereby denying the governed
dividends of democracy and
good governance”
