HOUSE of
R e p r e s e n t a t i v e s
yesterday the
approval for the
$5.5billion foreign
loans by the federal
government was
made because it was
going to oversight the
president thoroughly
and ensure he was
prudent in spending
the facility.
Chairman, House
Committee on Media
and Publicity, Namdas
Rasak stated this at the
weekly media briefing
of the House.
He said the House
would support the
loan only if the
president invests in
the right things, noting
that “with Buhari we
have no doubt that
the loan will be put to
good use.”
The lawmaker
explained that the
House would monitor
every expenditure
from the loan.
“We must do our jobs
during oversight. It is
not just borrowing,”
Hon Rasak stated.
The House image
maker noted also that
the troubling economy
which recently came
out of recession was
sacrosanct and needed
to be heavily funded
by heavy spending,
especially on projects.
