Plateau State Governor- elect, Honourable Simon Lalong has described the contribution of their people in Abuja at the just concluded elections as awesome, promising to work with all the 53 tribes of the state.
Lalong, during a thank you visit to Plateau State indigenes resident in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, under the auspices of Plateau Stakeholders Abuja, said the great role they play in the last elections saved the state from tribalism impose by the Jonah Jang administration.
“The great roles, support and contributions the Plateau people played and ensured our victory during the just concluded state governorship election would forever be remembered,” Lalong said.
Lalong who promised to involve members of the group in forming a reputable government said, “We would ensure that all the 53 tribes in the state make their imputes in our government. This is a government for all. The APC government in Plateau State would heal the wounds of hate and disunity,” he said.
Besides, the state Deputy Governor -elect, Professor Sonny Tyoden said the successes within would not have been possible without the role played by Plateau Stakeholders in Abuja, adding, the support has been a source of great encouragement.
“We are in Abuja to thank our Plateau people for the support. Indeed, they have shown that wherever they are, they love Plateau state. We are indeed grateful,” Tyoden said.
The Chairman, Plateau Stakeholders in Abuja, Mr Nankpak Nden, thanked the governor- elect for deeming it wise to pay them a visit. He said Lalong has shown that he will be proactive in every ramification by carrying all the people of Plateau State along.
