Abia North PDP backs Ikpeazu

PEOPlEs Democratic Party, PDP, in Abia North Senatorial District has expressed its support for the governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, describing the pro-Uche Ogah judgement of Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja as “controversial and contentious”.
A statement issued in Umuahia at the weekend by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Enyinnaya Appolos, said the party also expressed its support and loyalty to the Abia Charter Of Equity. Their position was contained in a statement jointly signed by over 130 leaders of the party after
a stakeholders’ meeting held in Ohafia. The resolution was signed by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa (Abia North); Hon. Cosmos Ndukwe, the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly; Dr. Eme Okoro, the Secretary to Abia State Government, Hon Osita Igbe; Commissioner for
Housing, Hon. Uko Nkole; member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, among others. They, therefore, dissociated themselves from Ogah, who hails from the zone, stressing that he wants to throw Abia into a state of anarchy. They also resolved as follows…
