Abia: Why I went to Election petitions tribunal – Uduh



Sokoto: Tribunal grants APC governorship candidate leave to inspect election materials

All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives candidate for Ikwuano Umuahia Federal constituency, Chief (Mrs) Chinyere Aduni Uduh has declared that she went Election Petitions tribunal sitting in Umuahia was to ensure that people are allowed to choose their Representatives devoid of rigging, thuggery and intimidation.

She disclosed this in Umuahia while interacting with Nigerian Pilot in Umuahia.

Mrs. Uduh noted that there was no in election in Abia for the February 23 and March 9,2019 elections pointing out that it was characterized with much violent, rigging and intimidation and that people were not allowed to choose those who will rule them.

She further stressed that there is certain things you do not leave for children to fight for it amount to act of cowardice if one fails to challenge glaring manipulations and fraud perpetrated in the just concluded elections.

The APC aggrieved House of Representatives candidate said that it is unfortunate what we have in Africa is s demonstration of “Craziness and not democracy,” noting that some of them entered political turf out of their burning desire to help the younger generation of Nigerians.

She, however, wondered why people did not protest the alleged manipulations she said marred the 2019 elections in Abia, adding that is one of the reasons why she went to court so as to allow people’s will to prevail.

Mrs C Uduh maintained that she carried a robust grassroots campaigns where she fed the people, clothed them and that the people were happy with her but regretted that the same people were not allowed to exercise their franchise through intimidation and rigging.

“The people of Ikwuano Umuahia Federal constituency were happy with me within the short while I went round was able to change people’s perception about APC, change the face of APC in Abia through grassroots campaigns,” Uduh said.

Mrs Uduh explained that long before she came into politics she has been involved in helping the youths through skills acquisition, sending some to foreign countries such as France, Japan and Kenya in order to impact knowledge into them, keep them busy and at such divert their minds away from committing crimes.

She added that she into politics not to make money but to assist in giving society a meaning through positive ways of doing things while hoping to recover the mandate at the tribunal when it commences sittings
