Former Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Dr. Ade Abolurin yesterday bowed out of service at the Civil Defence Academy, Suaka, Abuja.
He charged all serving officers of the corps to continue the good fight and should not relent in fighting corruption, even as his time in the service was up.
“I urged all corps to sustain zero tolerance to corruption in their operations as am going out of the Corps today,” Abolurin said.
Abolurin was optimistic that with the level his administration fought vandalism, and with the new CG continuing in the fight, vandalism would be a thing of the past.
He further charged security guards operators to always be proactive in assisting the internal security agency in maintaining their core mandates.
He stressed that with the legacy he was living behind, NSCDC would be a major contributor towards protecting government infrastructures across the country.
The event was with mix feelings as some personnel seemed happy as CG Abolurin was going while some others were in tears.
