Arojah Royal Theatre, ART, in conjunction with the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners, NANTAP, will hold the Abuja Children Theatre Festival in November.
Secretary of NANTAP, Abuja chapter, Mr Jerry Adesewo, disclosed this in Abuja that the festival would hold between November 19 and 20.
Adesewo who is also the Artistic Director of Arojah Royal Theatre, said the festival would be unique and different from previous years.
“Preparations are on ground to ensure that it is a success. Letters have been sent to 20 schools in the FCT in preparation for the event. Seven schools out of the 20 will be selected to perform on that day,’’ Adesewo said.
He added that professional trainers would be assigned to each of the schools to train and support the children and their teachers.
Adesewo said any school that emerged best from the seven would receive an award and free ticket to participate in the Arojah Royal Theatre grand performance.
