No fewer than 200 clubs and associations in Adamawa state have announced their merger to promote the activities of the state led All Progressives Congress, APC government.
Alhaji Abdullahi Bakari, the Protem Coordinator of the group known as “Team Bindow” said the group was out to support good governance being exhibited by APC led government under Gov. Muhammadu Jibrilla.
Bakari said that while Buhari was excelling at the top in spite of challenges, Gov. Bindow was doing same in taking the state to the next level.
Bakari said that the composition of the team, which cut across ethnic and religious and political lines, was to give moral and financial support to the government where necessary.
“As a group, we will push for all and everything that is good for Adamawa state.
“Adamawa is the first and only one on our agenda. We have seen that our Governor is the best so far.
“This act of doing right and keeping his promise to the people forms the second principle of this group”, Bakari said.
The coordinator said that the team hopes to promote, project and defend the policies and programmes of Bindow Administration.
The coordinator said that the group was being funded by contributions from members.
Chairman of the occasion, Senator Silas Zwingina, lauded the coming together of the group to support good governance as a welcome development.
Zwingina urged citizens of Adamawa join the train in support the laudable work being done by the APC administration.
“We have seen the prudent management of scarce resources by this government which deserve commendation and support”, Zwingina said.
