Leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Adamawa State has applauded the electorate for conducting themselves peacefully during Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections, adding that the party was appreciative of the massive support it got from the populace.
The party made the position during a press conference attended by the three elected senators of the party, six elected members of House of Representatives and party executives in Yola yesterday.
While thanking the people for the massive support they gave the party at the polls, the acting chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Yamusa Shuaibu praised the voters for peaceful conduct during the election, adding that APC was satisfied with the conduct of the polls.
He promised the citizenry a better deal as the party would make a judicious use of the resources to transform the lives of the people.
Secretary of the party, Abdullahi Bakari during his submission introduced the three senators-elect and six elected House of Representatives members, adding that with such massive support, the members would synergise with the government in power to bring rapid development to the state.
In their various submissions, the elected senators and House of Representatives members pledged to work in tandem with the manifesto of the party to bring rapid development to the state.
They called on the people to repeat the gesture accorded to the party in the coming gubernatorial and house of assembly elections in order to consolidate its stance in the polity.
