The Adamawa State Governor Sen. Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla has reiterated the determination of his administration to provide affordable housing for all people in the state.
Governor Bindow, who said this at the ground breaking ceremony of 300 housing units nicknamed “Bindow Housing Estate” sited along Girei road opposite Bajabure Federal Housing estate in Yola, said that the provision of housing was a key item his government’s blueprint for the development of the state.
He explained that the state government is collaborating with a private firm of real estate developers Abuja for the construction of the housing project.
“We have the intention of constructing 10,000 housing units in the state and we are starting with this proposed 300 units as a start”. He said.
Promising to execute meaningful projects which would have direct bearing on the electorate, Bindow appealed to the Federal Mortgage Bank to collaborate with his government to building affordable houses in the state.
He also solicited cooperation from all with a view to providing more dividends of democracy as promised during campaign.
In his goodwill address, Mr. David Garnvwa, a member of the president said the gesture of Bindow governments for shelter provision in Adamawa is timely and commendable.
Mr. Garnvwa opined that, in human life shelter is among the most important factors of comfort because it is desirable to all.
