Again! Fire razes Multi-million naira electronic shop in Kogi

Barely two days where over 30 people were roasted to death by tanker explosion in Felele-Lokoja , the capital of kogi state, a multi-million naira electronic shop, Pe-links, located in the heart of Lokoja was razed down by mysterious fire on Saturday night completely.

An account said that the electronic shop located along Muritala Muhammed way main driveway, adjacent to GT Bank at Fen junction, Lokoja was gutted by fire around 12. am,

Although the cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be established, many are speculating that the inferno may have been sparked off by an electrical fault in the shop.

It was learnt many residents who got the winds of the inferno and ran to the shops to assist in putting out the fire failed, as it destroyed the goods inside the shop completely.

The electronic shop said to be owned by one Peter Onujeme, was burnt to ashes as there was no firefighter or fire truck to assist in dousing the fire.

But the residents were surprised why there was no response from Federal Fire Service, especially as their office is few metres away from the burnt shop.

“The whole building was burnt down and goods worth of millions were destroyed. What a pity! Somebody hard earned investment was completely destroyed by fire and nobody or even the constituted authorities could come out to salvage the situation. Now the owner is left with nothing. What is the function of the State and Federal Fire Service in Kogi State?”, Lamented an angry resident, and a sympathiser, Mallam Yusufu Usman at the scene of the incident .
