Akwa Ibom State government has raised an alarm over plot by miscreants to wreck havoc on the state by attacking key government and public institutions.
This was contained in a government statement endorsed by the Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Udom Emmanuel, Mr. Ekerette Udoh and made available to Nigerian Pilot Sunday in Uyo, yesterday.
It however stated that this plan has been discovered and brought to attention of the state government although no group or persons were however named as being responsible for such plots.
The statement warned those behind the plot against such actions while alerting residents to be vigilant and report all suspicious movement to security agencies.
It also advised residents to go about their duties as adequate security arrangements have been made to guarantee the security of lives and property. 
“Accordingly, the general public is hereby advised to be on the look-out for any suspicious movements or activities that may breach the peace and report same to law enforcement agents without delay.
“The state government hereby warns the sponsors and those who are recruited to embark on this sinister plot with a view to breach public peace and tranquility and create a state of anarchy in the state, that, the security agencies have been put on red alert and are ready to apprehend, deal decisively with and prosecute anyone that violates the Law.”
