Leading telecommunications service provider, Airtel Nigeria, has rewarded the first batch of winners in its ongoing RedHot Promo with an all-expense paid family trip to Dubai and cash prizes of N1million each.
A business woman based in Lagos, Mrs. Obi Victoria, and Mr. Nnamdi Oji, a web developer and entrepreneur, emerged the first lucky winners of tickets for the all-expense paid family trip to Dubai.
Mr. Eze Sonlove, a driver with a hospital in Lagos; Mr. Nwankwo Ferdinand, a trader at Iyana-Iba market; Mr. Fashola Peter, a civil servant in Lagos, and Mr. Habeeb Adepoju, a student in Ijebu, Ogun State, won cash prizes of N1million each.
The visibly excited winners expressed appreciation to Airtel Nigeria for being consistent with rewards for customers through the Red Hot Promo over the years.
Mrs. Victoria, winner of an all-expense paid trip to Dubai, said: “I am very happy to be one of the winners in the promo. I look forward to great fun in Dubai with my family. I thank Airtel for this initiative.”
On his part, Adepoju who won N1 million, said: “This is fantastic; I appreciate the company for making me a proud customer on the network. I commend Airtel for enriching customers experience with the RedHot promo.”
Speaking at the event, the Chief Commercial Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Ahmed Mokhles, noted that Airtel passionately connects its customers to their dreams and provides credible platforms and spring boards for them to achieve greatness.
“The Airtel Red Hot Promo is a demonstration of our resolve to reward, excite and uplift our customers for their patronage and loyalty, while also welcoming new users to our network,” he said.
According to Mokhles, everyone–customers and telecoms consumers-stand a chance to win big as the promo offers lots of amazing rewards and prizes including millions in airtime, smartphones and other mouth-watering prizes.
Customers can accumulate points in the promo by recharging their lines, buying any TalkMore bundle, buying any of the data bundles, registering for Access Money or even calling 141 (MAMO).
Commenting on the credibility and authenticity of the promo, Mr. Akinwale Akingbade of TCQ&A, a leading independent systems and process audit firm with direct responsibility for overseeing the draws of RedHot promo, assured customers of unbiased selection of winners, saying the draws cannot be influenced.
Head, Surveillance and Monitoring, Consumer Protection Council, CPC, Mr. Anyanwu Camillus, also corroborated Akingbade’s position, noting that the promo is being conducted in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of consumers.
Other stakeholders in attendance were the Head, Consumer Policy Development & Monitoring, Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Philip Eretan, and representative of Emirates Holidays in Nigeria, Olanireti Babalola.
The Red Hot Promo Season 3, which started on December 4, will run till February 1, 2016 and it is expected to produce 60 Nigerians who will win amazing Emirates Holiday in Dubai for themselves and any three of their loved ones, while 60 people will win N1 million, with other customers who will win fantastic prizes such as free airtime, smartphones and devices throughout the promo.
