As Nigeria and the world marks the second anniversary of the sorrowful abduction of Chibok school girls and the cruel murder of over 40 boys at Buni Yadi by Boko Haram terrorists, wife of the president, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, has pledged to ameliorate the plight of parents of the victims.
Mrs. Buhari made the promise yesterday at the State House Conference Centre during the public presentation of her book titled, ‘The Essentials of Beauty Therapy’.
According to a statement sent to Nigerian Pilot, Mrs Buhari wrote the book ‘’to bring to the front burner the sad episode and to mark the second anniversary of the kidnap of the Chibok girls and the gruesome murder of over 40 secondary school boys from Buni Yadi community in Yobe State.’’
The wife of the president said proceeds of the book launch will be donated to charity and to better the living conditions of families of the abducted girls, parents of the deceased boys and Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs.
The book launch is a testimony that the government is concerned about the fate of the Chibok Girls and families of the Buni Yadi boys who were earlier murdered by Boko Haram insurgents.
