Arsenal rookie Chuba Akpom has joined English Championship side, Hull City on a season long loan.

The youngster was impressive in the Gunners’ tour to Asia, and got a hat trick against Singapore X1 in his side’s 4-0 victory.

Though, he has expressed his intention to stay with the Emirates Stadium giants but manager Arsene Wenger feels it would be best if he joins the Tigers – where he could get regular playing time, as he falls down the pecking order behind Oliver Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott in the attack.

Should he impress Steve Bruce, he is likely to be handed a permanent deal with Hull City.

He was loaned to Nottingham Forest last season and was capped for seven times with no goal to show for it.
