After just two games at the helm for Algeria, coach Milovan Rajevac has been sacked by the Algerian Football Federation.

After drawing 1-1 with Cameroon the coach was livid with the performance of some of his players and dressed them down publicly vowing to make mass changes to the team before they travel to Port Harcourt to take on Nigeria in the tough Group B of the AWQ.

This didn’t sit well with some of the senior players who believed that the Serbian simply didn’t get the tactics right against the Central Africans who were arguably the more dominant team, especially in the second half.

This means that the Foxes have less than 30 days to name a new coach and prepare for a game they can ill afford to lose considering that Nigeria made the best of their first game by securing the maximum points against Zambia and are now sitting atop the Group.

Ironically all countries that represented Africa at the Rio WCup have been pooled in the same Group for the Russia WCup alongside Zambia the 2012 Afcon winner

Rajecac had previously coached the Black Stars of Ghana and the national team of Qatar.
