The South South All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to allegations by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesman, Chief Olisa accusing the party of attempts to influence the decisions of election tribunals in the region.
APC national vice-chairman (South-South), Prince Hiliard Eta noted that such an unsubstantiated allegation against the tribunal members was unfortunate.
He said claims that the APC was planning to subvert the judicial process in Rivers, Delta and Akwa Ibom ‘further reveals the party’s infantile petulance and ignorance.’
According to him, “PDP cannot ascribe to the APC its own antecedent of manipulating polls when they know that the APC is not a party for a few cabals who cannot survive the political chess game except by cheating and manipulations.”
Prince Eta said the PDP was scared of losing more states at the tribunal hence “its cry of wolf whereas none was visible.
‘’We wish to remind the PDP that they are not only a conquered people but also a conquered evil whose parasitic impact on the goodwill of the country almost sunk it.”
He commended Nigerians for playing pivotal roles in ‘the irreversible victory of change over status quo that has come to restore the nation’s goodwill.”
Prince Etta urged PDP to ‘accept the fact that in perfecting on the change mantra, we view them as a conquered evil that must give way for real development and progress to take place.’
