The 14th elected governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode has revealed that the major lesson learnt in the election that produced him as governor was that the political leaders should not take the people they govern for granted.
He stressed that his administration would establish Lagos Global Ministry that would combat unemployment saga that seems to be the primary challenge in the ‘centre of excellence’ state.
Addressing the crowd at his inauguration as the 14th governor of Lagos State, at Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, yesterday, Ambode said one would forever reap the seed he sow, adding that his hard work and dedication to duty monitored by unknown people gave him edge above others who aspired to be the governor.
Ambode urged Lagosians to be responsible in the payment of taxes, stating that no one can claim to be a responsible citizen until he/she pay tax that would be useful for the growth of the state or community.
He promised to make life simple and make Lagosians happier through the open door policies for new idea that can move the state forward. He also reassured that several developing Ministry including the Ministry for wealth creation and establishment would be created to make life better for the people.
