An American firm, Applied Research and Engineering Sciences, ARES, based in South Africa, is in Nigeria to present its latest engineering and project management software code-named PRISM to the corporate institutions in the country.
The presentation, which took place yesterday in Abuja by Kobus Swanepoel, director of Operations and Project Controls consultant of the firm, saw business executives take turns to listen and appreciate the wonder software which will take away most problems in project engineering, management and accounting.
Swanepoel, who will be visiting Lagos and Abuja with the same purpose, took time to explain to the executives how PRISM would solve problems associated with project engineering, safety and risk management, as well as security solutions.
He also said it could also handle quantitative risk management and system engineering, as well as projects
The software, which he said was already being used in the United Kingdom and Europe, is aimed at cutting out inconsistency in Business Processes and Decentralise Spread sheets.
It will also reduce time wasted on data processing and problems amplified by being a self perform contractor.
By solving the above problems, according to him, they will implement an integrated field management software that will establish robust labour productivity monitoring and control process.
It will also integrate with scheduling and timesheet systems and provide change management control out of the box.
Amongst other things the software does, he said, it would also create reports on multiple levels and establish an early warning mechanism to enable confident decision making.
