The series of trailer
falls in Nigeria’s
commercial capital city,
Lagos, seems unending
with another trailer loaded
with Nigerian breweries
product wrecking havoc
on the Lagos/Abeokuta
road on Saturday.
The incident occurred at
about 2:30pm yesterday
at Lagos/Ogun State
border town of Ajegunle.
Unlike the previous
incident, which involved
petroleum products, this
latest incident involved
a trailer loaded with
Guinness Nigeria PLC’s
The trailer was on
its way out of Lagos
before the driver lost
control of the wheel
at Ajegunle bus stop.
It however came close to
the tollgate before Sango
before crashing into the
mini market around the
Eyewitness however
praised the driver’s
bravery for avoiding
what could have
caused a mass death of
pedestrians at the usually
crowded tollgate area.
As at the time Nigerian
Pilot Sunday reporter
visited the scene of the
incident, sympathisers
were seen taking care of
the few casualties of the
We gathered that the
incident only recorded
one major casualty
within the market area.
The average aged man
who was hit by the
crashing vehicle was taken
to a nearby hospital and
responding to treatment
