FC Cologne have confirmed that striker Anthony Ujah will move to Werder Bremen in the summer, on a four year contract.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

24-year-old Ujah has scored 10 goals in the Bundesliga this season and earned recall to the Nigeria national team.

He moved to Cologne from Mainz in 2013 where his contract was supposed to run till 2017.

Bremen are looking to replace Davie Selke with the Nigerian. The 20-year-old German will leave for Austrian side RB Leipzig at the end of the season.

Bremen sporting director Thomas Eichin said: “We have watched him intensively and for a long time to get the whole picture of him. He is a fast and dangerous striker who can still develop here.”

While Cologne are placed 11th on the league, Bremen are seventh and are hunting for a place in the Uefa Europa League next season.
