National Coordinator, South-East/South-South for PDP Political front, Hon Okorie Magnus, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to be neutral in his probing of those who looted the nation’s treasury.
Hon. Magnus stated this in a chart with journalists in Port Harcourt recently, noting that ‘‘any probe that will not commence from 1966 – since most of the past leaders are still alive today – will simply means a witch-hunt of those perceived to be enemies.
He specifically cautioned the Buhari led federal government against the option of probe that will be limited to former President Jonathan’s administration.
In a statement made available to Nigerian Pilot in Abuja, the coordinator reminded the president not to forget in a hurry his words; “I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody” and advised him to be a man of integrity.
The political scientist cum public administrator also blamed the Director of DSS, for allegedly allowing himself to be used by power at the top, to interfere with the election petition tribunal in Rivers and Akwa-Ibom states.
He‘advised him to stay focused on his constitutional responsibilities, rather than going out of his limit, provided by the constitution.
He praised the Rivers State Governor, Barr. Nyesom Wike on his achievements in just a short period in office and called on Rivers people to support the God-sent Governor in his determination to move the state to the next level.
