A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP stalwart in Osun State, Hon. Imam Azeem Adeniyi Adebowale has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to be unbiased as he commences his crusade towards eradicating corruption in the country.
The politician made this observation during a telephone conversation with Nigerian Pilot Sunday.
Adebowale, said if truly, the President is serious in the campaign against corruption, he must not attached sentiments to the probe.
According to Adebowale, “I want Mr. President to start the probe from the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo instead of laying emphases on the immediate past administration of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
“I am not saying the efforts of President Buhari at eradicating corruption is not good. Yes, it is good enough, but why eluding some leaders of the country, whether they are guilty or not, they must also be questioned”, the politician added.
Adebowale who condemned in totality, the insinuation making the round
that PDP is dead, said, there was never be a time that the party is not functioning well saying, they have their members in across the nation warming up for the future elections.
He said, “Who told them that PDP is dead?, we are very much around, we are strategising, we are bouncing back and I am assuring you all that, we will get our mandate back.”
Adebowale, who enjoined members of the party to remain law abiding, also urged them to remain under one umbrella for the betterment of the party.
Adebowale, who is also the
Chief Imam of Wuraola Central Mosque, Ede since 1997 till date, used the medium to congratulate all Muslims for this year’s Ed el Kabir while urging them not to borrow money to celebrate the festival.
