A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and energy consultant, Chief Micheal Ighofose, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for issuing 65 licenses to private investors to establish modular refineries across the country.
Ighofose, who spoke on the Nigeria Television Authority “Good Morning Nigeria programme”, said the initiative will effectively address unemployment.
According to him, “the federal government led by President Buhari promised to tackle unemployment and the move to establish such number of refineries would create thousands of employment opportunities for Nigerian youths.”
The four-time Delta State governorship candidate of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, noted that the federal government is genuinely determined to eradicate unemployment and wasteful spending on the controversial oil subsidy.
Ighofose further charged those issued with the license not to disappoint President Buhari and Nigerians by ensuring that the modular refineries are established as stipulated.
He stated that the refineries will create sufficient fuel in petrol stations, thereby wiping off the perennial crisis we usually experience.
