A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Senatorial Candidate of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, Chief Inibehe Okori has expressed sadness over the harsh working conditions and environments of workers in Nigerian.
He has also commended Nigerian workers for their dedication, patriotism, resilience and contribution to the gains and successes recorded so far despite the tough working environment they find themselves.
In a statement in Uyo made available to Nigerian Pilot Saturday Okori assured the workers that the emergence of Buhari as the next President of the country would bring about change to both the lives of the average Nigerian worker and their families.
“His emergence will bring a better, effective, efficient and result oriented working environment that will fast track the implementation of government policies and programmes to the benefit of the Nigerian people.” He said.
He explained that though the expectations of Nigerian workers on Buhari remained high efforts would be made by the incoming administration towards ensuring that issues affecting the welfare of Nigerian workers were given top priority.
He commended the workers for the support and solidarity they gave the APC in the just concluded general elections and assured them of the determination of the incoming administration towards fighting corruption, reducing the cost of governance.
He however called for improvements in work ethics and for the workers to show more committed and patriotism in the discharge of their duties toward repositioning the public service for greater efficiency.
