APC Frustrated, Out of Ideas, Says Taraba Group

A pro democracy group, Taraba Mandate Group, TMG, has flayed the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the state over its recent attack of the policies of Governor Darius Ishaku. In a statement signed by one of the group’s sponsors, Yunusa Alkali, TMG said that the APC is clearly loosing relevance in the state and running out of ideas on how to constructively engage the state. It also condemned comments by APC’s leadership in which the state chairman of the party said the state government has lost direction. The statement reads in part: “”having just suffered a stunning defeat both on the field and in the court, a fumbling APC recently reared its head again to start its stock in trade which is peddling falsehood concerning the progressive PDP
government led by Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku. “In an interview carried in Daily Trust on Tuesday, the APC state chairman, one Alhaji Ardo, declared that Taraba currently lacks direction. From the bold headline of the paper saying “Taraba lacks direction”, you would think the APC was going to itemize why it said the state lacks direction. “Rather, the whole piece was a voyage in emptiness as the man ended up saying nothing of any intrinsic value. In a nutshell, the APC is saying in the interview that Taraba lacks direction for not tapping into the potentials of a cattle market and not providing grazing reserves for cattle.” “Now this is laughable to say the least. One wonders if this is the only agenda APC would have implemented if it had won Taraba that is, grabbing
lands to create grazing reserves. “The chairman did not point out how government has lost focus in all the other areas of the economy. His grouse which he vehemently outlined is the lack of grazing land. That was a waste of readers precious time and a let down to even APC members who had expected their chairman to show them how Taraba is loosing direction. In any case, he failed to deliver in this regard. He was also generally incoherent in his submissions. And if that was all the APC chairman could find to say, then glory be to God because it means Governor Ishaku is on course.” The statement noted further that the APC is running out of ideas since it cannot find where to criticize the government.
