All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State has criticised Governor Ayodele Fayose for abandoning his predecessor’s legacy projects, saying he is doing so in bad faith.
In a statement by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, said, “It is a disservice to the people of Ekiti State for Governor Fayose to abandon legacy projects of the Kayode Fayemi administration simply because he wants to rubbish the achievements of his predecessor.”
The APC wondered why a development-oriented governor would abandon an edifice like the Oba Adejugbe Hospital which was completed by the former administration, such that weeds now adorn it.
But the state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr Jackson Adebayo, described the rate at which the APC was manufacturing lies against the governor as a deliberate attempt by the opposition to slow down the pace of development being pursued by him.
The PDP stressed that the promotion of falsehood in the name of politics of opposition by the APC was a manifestation of the party’s destructive tendencies as exhibited by their government when they were in office.
