Outgoing Rivers State Governor, Honourable Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has vowed that the All Progressives Congress, APC
Governorship candidate, Dr Adol Dakuku Peterside will win the suit against Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship victory at the state election petition tribunal.
Governor Amaechi made the vow yesterday in Port Harcourt, during the thanksgiving ceremony of his party, saying that he will do everything within the ambit of the law to win the state for APC. Governor Amaechi further boasted that it took court cases for him to be the Speaker of the state and the governor, and vowed that the event will repeat itself at the tribunal.
He accused the former Deputy Commissioner of Police, CP John Amadi of wrong doing against the APC during the elections and warned that he together with others will be brought to book.
Governor Amaechi alleged that it was the officer who embarrassed the APC at the governorship election, and affirmed that, prior to the governorship election about 3.00 am, he went to the family house of the PDP governorship candidate, Chief Nyesom Wike, and was told that the former DCP Amadi was in the room with Wike helping him to write the results.
He swore that immediately the APC form the Federal Government, he will ensure that Mr Amadi is made to account for his alleged wrong doing during the elections, and urged that all the names of the Divisional Officers, DPOs be noted for the tribunal case.
Also speaking, the governorship candidate, Dr Adol Dakuku Peterside assured of 100 percent hope of getting the governorship ticket through the tribunal, urging members to remain faithful.
Dr Peterside accused the wife of the President of fomenting the entire crisis in the state, before and during the elections, pointing out the cases of Okrika, ONELGA, Degema and Khana local government areas as references.
