The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Oyegun, has assured Nigerians that the incoming APC government is committed to opening doors of opportunities for unemployed Nigerians.
Oyegun made this known while speaking at the 7th graduation ceremony of American University of Nigeria (AUN) in Yola, the Adamawa state capital.
Oyegun who congratulated the graduating students for their success said they should consider themselves as agents of change for graduating at a time the country was witnessing a change with the emergence of APC government.
“You are graduates of change and you are going to be agents of change. Nigeria is waiting and ready for you”, Oyegun said.
In his remarks, the representative of the Minister of Education, Prof Hamisu Mohammed lauded AUN for its contribution to quality education in Nigeria.
Mohammed noted that the National University Commission (NUC) has approved some courses for the university and urged it to sustain the tempo of growth.
The president of the University, Dr Margee Ensign in her speech said AUN as a development university was the right place to be as Nigeria is in need of development.
Ensign told the graduating students to consider themselves fortunate for being in AUN and urged them to be good ambassadors of the institution.
The dignitaries that chaired the occasion include the Adamawa state governor-elect, Senator Mohammed Jibrila, Kano state governor-elect, Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr.Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa among others.
