The Chieftain of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Dr. Ernest Obiejesi, has declared that he never instructed anybody to shoot any policeman during the presidential and national Assembly elections in Anambra State.
Already, two of the policemen attached to the oil magnet were shot and wounded on the Election Day and were still at the hospital, while Nigerian Pilot gathered that two other policemen were killed during the fracas that started at Ihiala council Area.
Obiejesi, the Chairman of Nestoil Ltd, spoke yesterday at Okija in Ihiala council Area of Anambra State, when the people of Ihiala numbering over 2,000 stormed his country home demanding to see their leader, who it was rumoured, was equally killed.
However, while addressing the crowd, Obiejesi, denied attacking anybody, rather, said he was the person beaten up and his policemen shot and wounded, adding that only God saved his life.
He said a petition had already been written to the Inspector General of Police, the State Commissioner of police and other relevant security agencies on what transpired on the election day.
According to him, “Some people wanted to assassinate me on the Election Day, because we insisted that the right thing must be done, my vehicle was riddled with bullets and many people injured”.
“Those involved in the political brigandage wanted us to keep quiet for them to perpetuate electoral fraud, but we refused and the people of Anambra state must rise up against such frauds”.
