Facebook Co-Founder, Chris Hughes, Apple Co-Founder, Steve Wozniak, and Air Asia Founder and CEO, Tony Fernandes, have confirmed their participation at the forthcoming Access Bank international conference on December 10.
The conference which will feature global leaders from the worlds of technology, innovation, business and politics is the second in the series, while the theme of the conference is ‘Leading in a transformational world – the imperative of innovation.’
Speaking at a press briefing at the bank’s head office in Lagos, Executive Director, Personal Banking Division, Victor Etuokwu, said life-changing innovations popping up in unexpected places around the globe with breakthrough developments in sectors such as nanotech, biotech, artificial intelligence, robotics and more, would affect every sector of the global economy in such a way that businesses would have nowhere to hide.
He said innovation was moving at a speed that has never been witnessed before, adding that with two billion internet users worldwide and 50 billion connected devices by 2020, innovative technology is the defining trend for today’s business.
Inspirational leaders from the private and public sectors will discuss the major themes facing Africa, the world economy and social transformation created by changing technology.
