The new Commanding Officer of the Nigerian Army, 19 Battalion Koko, Lt. Col. Anthony Ozemhoya has vowed to eliminate oil theft and stop illegality in its operations.
Ozemhoya disclosed this while briefing Journalists at his office in Koko, the Head Quarters of Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, said that he will improve on the successes recorded so far by his predecessors and will ensure that sanity, moral discipline and a friendly operational atmosphere is maintained.
The Army Chief added that he is out to fight illegalities, such as cultism, illegal oil refineries, bunkering, pipeline vandalism, kidnapping and any criminal activities capable of disturbing the peace and progress of Nigerians in the area.
He called on the people in the area to be good ambassadors, adding that security situation was is relatively calm.
His words” I want to contribute my quota to nation building through the teaching of morals education, I have a focus to turn the lives of the koko youths through the community leaders in the grass root and I want a situation whereby after I leave Koko, my name will be written on gold, that’s what I wished to be remembered for”.
