Enyimba’s Abu Azeez believes that the last eight teams in the Caf Champions League are good for the title and hopes his side continues to improve.
The former African champions made the group stage of the competition but will have to wait for the draw next month to know their foes.
“We expect a favourable draw at this stage. Every team that made the last eight is a good team so all we just pray for is to do better than we have done in previous games,” Azeez told Goal.
The two-time African champions have instilled confidence in the heart of their fans especially after the neck breaking final qualifier against Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia.
“Anything is possible, most people didn’t give us a chance to make it to the group stage ahead of Etoile du Sahel but now we are there already. It’s not a fluke, we just have to stay focused and play to our very best,” he added.
The draws for the group stage of the 2016 Caf Champions League has been scheduled for May 24, 2016.
