Super Eagles winger, Michael Babatunde is in vantage position to clinch a new offer from any viable Europe-based club once this weekend’s Cup of Nations qualifier is over.
Babatunde who this to Nigerian Pilot Sports noted that he was owed seven months’ salary and barely survived the just concluded season added that he was open to offers from club to further his career in Europe.
According to him “I’m the bread winner of my family and barely lived up to my responsibilities recently so for me it was best to end it,”
“There are talks ongoing with some teams but before the transfer window reopens I will decide on which team I will join,”
“I would have gotten a club before now. It’s just that I’m taking things calmly so as to get a good club where I will play next season.
Asked if he would prefer to ply his trade with an Champions League or Europa league-bound side, Babatunde said “Yes it’s the dream of every player to play in the Champions league, world cup and Nations Cup. I will be happy if I get such an offer.
“Right now, I’m focusing on our Nations Cup qualifier game. After the match, I will disclose my next move.
