Bauchi State governor, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar has commended the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, for appointing the Nigerian Union of Journalist, NUJ, state council chairman, Dahiru Garba Muhammad, as the general manager of Globe FM in the state.
The commendation was contained in a press statement issued to journalists in the state by director of press to the governor, Ibrahim Sani, where he said the appointment was well deserved and timely, in view of his educational and professional experiences while serving the state television, BATV.
Governor Abdullahi noted with satisfaction the cordial working relationship between the state government and the FRCN, saying the appointment of a person within the state service would further the corporation to an enviable height.
He therefore urged the new general manager to consider his appointment as a call to serve the nation and further appealed to him to be a worthy ambassador of the state.
