The Bauchi State Government has assured the Corps members posted to the state of adequate security throughout their service period as security personnel have been directed to deal severely with any form of security threat to corps members.
Governor Muhammad Abdullahi disclosed this yesterday during the closing ceremony of 2015 batch B orientation course at the National Institute of Education, Kangere camp where he said security agencies have been mobilized to provide adequate security to the corps members.
The Governor represented by his Deputy, Engineer Nuhu Gidado said state government will provide enabling environment to all corps members posted to the state to contribute towards the progress, maintenance of peace and development of the state and the nation at large.
He directed local government councils in the state to support the corps members posted to their respective areas, saying the state will not relent in their effort to reward those who excel during their service year and assured that their welfare will be the top priority of government.
He explained that the NYSC scheme is significant to socio economic, political, cultural development as well as peaceful co-existence in the country. He therefore charged them to imbibe the spirit of hardwork, tolerance and togetherness for better Nigeria. Speaking earlier, the Chairman Governing Board of the NYSC and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth and Sports, Alhaji Muhammad Yunusa Muhammad commended the corps members posted to the state for exhibiting good conduct during their stay.
