Bauchi State Government has been asked to establish Fire Service stations in all the 20 local government councils of the state, in order to minimize the lose of lives and properties as a result of fire incidence especially in the rural areas.
Presenting the motion before the members of the state House of Assembly yesterday, a member representing Gamawa constituency in the house, Hon Salisu Ajilanga, said there is need for the establishment of Fire service stations across the local governments, considering the rampant cases of fire incidences witnessing at the rural areas.
He explained that the establishment of the fire service stations became imperative to forestall lost of lives and properties as a result of different fire incidences, hence the need for the state government to provide necessary facilities to protect such incidences.
The lawmaker advised state government to also provide Fire Fighting Training Centre in the state as well as to safeguard the different communities in the state.
Supporting the motion, a member representing Dass constituency, Hajiya Maryam Garba Bagel pointed out that the establishment of Fire fighting training centre will provide job opportunities to the teeming youth in the state.
The Speaker of the State Assembly, Hon. Kawuwa Shehu Dhamina applauded the lawmaker for moving the motion and urged the state government to consider the motion for the betterment of the people of the state.
