Bayelsa State Government has concluded an arrangement to set up Payroll Fraud Tribunal to try fraudsters in the state civil service, says the Commissioner for Education, Mr. Markson Fefegha.
He disclosed this yesterday during a meeting with the principals and headmasters of public schools in the state at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa.
He said the government had been losing billions of naira monthly to fraudsters in the system, adding that the development had necessitated various measures put in the place by the present administration to curb the nefarious act.
Fefegha warned that anyone found culpable would be prosecuted in accordance with the state Criminal Act, advising the perpetrators to desist from the act forthwith in their own interest.
