The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate Chief Timipre Sylva has pledged to complete the proposed Brass Liquefied Natural Gas project to function if he emerges as governor.
Sylva stated this during his campaign in Brass, a riverine community in Brass local government area.
It reported that the former governor on Wednesday concluded his campaign to communities in the area including Akassa, Ewoama and Okpoama all in Brass local council.
“My vision is to deepen Bayelsa economy when we emerge as governor; job creation and human capital development will be top of my priority; I will ensure that our economy is diversified.
“Thank God I am home today, but my coming home is not to campaign but to intimate you, my people on my plan to bring that change that we need.
“Some of my top agenda will be on human empowerment, job creation and infrastructural development; the Brass-NLNG will be completed when we emerge as governor,” he said.
Mr Samuel Sambo, traditional ruler of Brass commended the APC campaign train in the area, saying that the people are strongly with Sylva.
Sambo urged his people to support their son, saying that Sylva is a man with focus and vision that could bring the real change in Bayelsa.
In Okpoama, hometown of the former governor, Mr Allen Orukari, chairman, Okpoma Council of Chiefs said the people were also in support of Sylva.
“I am very sure that we will give him 100% vote because of his love for the people. Sylva has done it when he was the governor and I pray that he will win the forthcoming election.
“This is our own son and I believe that when he comes as governor, Bayelsa will be transformed,” Orukari said
