Nigerians clamouring for appointment into the President Mohammadu Buhari’s government have been advised to be wary of fraudsters who promise to facilitate their appointment into the government.
The National Vice-Chairman (South-South) of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Hilliard Eta who disclosed this in Calabar said the fraudster were extorting huge sums of money from unsuspecting members of the public with a promise to assist them get juicy appointment.
According to him, “some unscrupulous elements have been going about promising their victims they will secure recommendations from national officers of the party to facilitate their appointments into any office of their choice.”
Mr. Eta who expressed concern over the development noted that the fraudsters were out to tarnish the image of the party and its officials.
He disclosed that the action of these criminals ‘are at cross purposes with the anti-corruption posture of President Muhammadu Buhari’.’
The APC chieftain warned those engaging in the criminal act to desist forthwith ‘or be prepared to face the full wrath of the law.’
“Members of the public should be wary of anyone promising to assist them get appointment at the federal level and should report such cases to the relevant authorities for prompt action.”
