West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is full of praise for his Nigerian charge Victor Moses.
The Nigerian winger scored a stunning goal on Saturday to help West Ham defeat high-flying leaders Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Moses’ strike in the sixth minute represented the first goal City conceded in this season’s Barclays English Premier League and Bilic was quick to underline the importance of the 24-year-old.
“I am glad for Moses. He is a great asset for us and we are just pleased to have him,” Bilic was quoted as saying on the West Ham United official website, www.whufc.com.
He added that the win against the Citizens was hard fought with his players digging deep to achieve the result.
“They created some chances and in the second half they were fighting like a unit from the goalkeeper to the last man.
“At times we were lucky but you have to be when you are winning at their (Man City) stadium. They are such a massive team.
“They are by far the best team we have played so far but we were able to control their pressing and we are so happy about it,” he said.
Saturday’s win lifted West Ham United up to second on the standings with 12 points from six matches.
