A bill seeking to introduce a new logo in Kaduna State yesterday passed a second reading on the floor of the House of Assembly.
The bill which was deliberated upon by the House at its plenary is to create an official logo for Kaduna State.
According to the proposed bill, the purpose of creating the logo is to clearly identify and encapsulate the policy thrust of the government by articulating the direction and focus of the key sectors constituting its fulcrum.
A copy of the bill reads thus: “From the date of commencement of this Law, all official communication, correspondence and transactions by government, government establishments, ministries, departments and parastatals shall bear the official logo.
“Non-compliance with Section 5 of this law shall constitute a gross misconduct and shall be dealt with in accordance with the Civil Service Rules or other extant Laws on the subject,” it read.
The Assembly however referred the bill to a joint committee of Youth and Sports, Commerce and Industry, Tourism and Justice to look into it and report back to the House next Thursday.
