Bishop Thomas Olayiwola Aremu, the second Vice President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel) is the third person in leadership ranking of the ministry under the leadership of Bishop David Oyedepo, the presiding Bishop.

Bishop Aremu serves as the Senior Pastor of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bashorun, Ibadan. He is the third person in the leadership hierarchy in Winners Chapel Worldwide after Bishop David Abioye (First Vice President) and Bishop Oyedepo, the President and Presiding Bishop of Winners Chapel Worldwide, and one of the regular preachers at the famous annual Shiloh gathering at the Church’s international headquarters, Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland Ota, Ogun State.

In all modesty, Bishop Aremu is one of the most anointed, humble, disciplined, obedient and consistent shepherds in the Lord’s vineyard in Nigeria. For many, Bishop Aremu is also a most outstanding spiritual father and one of the most anointed pastors, teachers and prophets of this generation under the fatherhood of Bishop Oyedepo. If he is not ostentatious, it is because he is a signification of humility, faithfulness and noiseless service to the Lord.

Bishop Aremu has served at different levels in the church and he is still serving. He served as the Vice President Church Network between 2001 to 2003, Vice President Africa Mission and Vice President Foreign Mission 2010 – 2012. He is now a Missioner of Living Faith Church Worldwide.

This God’s servant was the Pioneer Pastor of Living Faith Church Ibadan, as well as the Senior Pastor and Regional Overseer in various branches of the Living Faith Church in Ilorin, Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Johannesburg, South Africa, and Accra Ghana.
For many of his sons and daughters across the world, both in Living Faith Church Worldwide and beyond, there is an unusual grace in the life of this soft-spoken but powerful man of God. Without any iota of equivocation, his ministration is characterised by signs and wonders and all kinds of supernatural acts of God.

Those his God-given anointing and the word of God in his mouth have touched and produced positive effects in their lives have shared different amazing testimonies to that effect. It is impossible for an attentive and prepared heart to be under Bishop Aremu’s ministration and not feel the electricity of the word of supernatural and prophetic knowledge flowing through him. He is also well known to be a man that demonstrates God’s power, consciously and unconsciously. Thousands have been healed, set free, delivered and transformed through his ministry to the glory of Jesus, the mighty God.

How did the journey start for him in rising to his present position in the ministry? In his testimony in an interview he once granted the press, he admitted that “I became a deacon and in 1988, I was ordained a part-time pastor, when God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, was consecrated as the first Pentecostal Bishop of the North. I served and grew to the post of Senior Associate Pastor; that is the most senior part-time pastor. I was reporting to Bishop Oyedepo directly. From there, in 1994, I received a call to join the ministry – the detail is a long one. But I received a call: God instructed me to serve under His servant and that I should await a call. Later, an altar call was made and that confirmed the call within two weeks. That was how I came in. I resumed in May 1994. I was posted to pioneer Ibadan and the Western operations of the ministry”.

He was born on 18th March 1957 in Oyo town, Oyo State. His early education, especially primary school education between was between 1963 and 1969 while his secondary school education was between 1970- 1973. According to records, he had worked as a typist, account clerk and college bursar at Notre Dame Girls Secondary School, Oro, Kwara State between 1973 – 1976.

He also attended Catholic Technical College Ile- Ife and The Polytechnic Ibadan between 1976 – 1982, graduating with a distinction in Accounting and Higher National Diploma HND (Upper Credit) in Accountancy as well. He has a Post – Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from the University of Lagos in 1990 from Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON).

He is a charted accountant and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA). He has held various positions in the public and finance sectors between 1983 and May 1994 before he received a call of God to go into full time ministry and was enlisted as a full time pastor in Living Faith Church. In 1999, he was eventually consecrated as Bishop of the Living Faith Church.

Bishop Aremu is gloriously married to Pastor (Mrs.) Elizabeth Moradeyo Aremu and they are blessed with four lovely children: Faith, Love, Thomas (Junior) and Emmanuel.

This highly spiritually endowed man of God would speak about his position in the LFCW as one of the three Bishops in a most modest and unpretentious manner. “It’s a privilege to be among the three. The two (other bishops) are my bosses – the presiding bishop and the first vice-president. And to be honest with you, they take care of me and they love me. They actually depict love for me, for my family.

If I mention any challenge to them, they are all out till it is solved. Even though God has asked me to stay, assuming they treated me badly I would run away and tell God I can’t cope. But I am well treated, well honoured and loved”.
On Monday, March 18, 2019, Bishop Aremu clocked 62 years. The journey may have been long; but evidently, it has been worthwhile for this man of God. The prayer of his sons and daughters, followers and well-wishers is for him to live long enough, grow higher in divine wisdom, power and grace to finish his divine assignment well and strong. To God alone be all the glory. Happy birthday Sir.
