Vision-One Leadership
Development Initiative, VOLDI,
has expressed confidence in
the overall performance of the
Nigerian Army in the fight
against terrorism in the country.
The National Coordinator,
VOLDI, Comrade Emmanuel
Johnny in a chat with Nigerian
Pilot, appealed on all Nigerians
to avail the Army the needed
support to help put an end to
the fight against insurgency in
the country.
While noting that terrorism is
not only particular to Nigeria
but a global phenomenon,
he stressed that insurgency
can only be conquered in the
country when every Nigerian
unite as one and see the Boko
Haram terrorist as a common
enemy of the state.
Johnny also called on all
Nigerians to remain steadfast,
united peaceful and not to be
distracted by the Amnesty
International’s report against
the Nigerian Army.
“We are particularly glad with
the level of dedication of the
Nigerian Army in the combat
against insurgencies and other
forms of crime in the country.
“VOLDI lauds the Nigerian
Army for tirelessly and
unrelentingly exercising their
constitutional roles of protecting
the nation’s territorial integrity.”

Speaking further, he called on
Nigerians and the International
community to discard
reports from the Amnesty
International describing it as
false information. The NGO boss also called
on the United Nations,
UN to call the Amnesty
International to order
and stop distracting the
Nigerian Army from doing
their constitutional duties
of protecting the territorial
integrity of the country.
Consequently, the NGO
passed a vote of confidence
on the leadership of the
Nigerian Army under the
leadership of the Chief of
Army Staff, Lieutenant
General Yusuf Buratai.
