Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex S. Badeh yesterday said he is also a victim of insurgency and an Internally Displaced Person, IDP, from series of attacks launched by Boko Haram sect.
Speaking in Kaduna yesterday during the church service and commissioning of the Nigerian Air Force Protestant Church, Kaduna, the Defence Chief said he was not spared in the attack launched by the sect as his house was burnt in Adamawa State.
He said enough is enough for the group and that Boko Haram must end now.
He however called on Nigerians to pray for their success in the fight against Boko Haram.
Earlier, the Chaplain of the church, Reverend (Wing Commander) Yunana G. Gada assured that the church will offer their support to the military in form of prayers saying prayer is the only thing the church can offer.
“The role of the church in this kind of situation is to support our fighting force with prayers and always remind them that, with God being put forward, they will also win the war,” he said.
He then expressed appreciation to members of the church, particularly the committee that worked tirelessly to see the completion of the church.
In his sermon during the commissioning service, Prof (Rev) Yusuf Turaki urged Christians to remove greed from their minds and help their brothers and sisters, as accumulation of excessive wealth cannot satisfy human beings.
