Activities marking 100 years of Boys Scout Association in Nigeria are scheduled to kick off in Lagos on Friday, November 20.
According to a statement issued by the secretary of Lagos Mainland Local Government chapter of the association, Mr. Femi Lambo, the event will be flagged off with a Jumat service at Ansar-ud-Deen Central Mosque, Bola Street, Ebute Meta, Lagos, on Friday, to be followed by a fitness walk/awareness rally on Saturday, November 21.
The 10-day activities, according to the statement, also includes a courtesy visit to the motherless babies home at the Red Cross Society’s premises, Makoko, Yaba, Lagos, as well as lectures, empowerment programme and AGM/Centenary Awards, among others.
The event will be rounded off with a thanksgiving at African Church, Bethlehem Cathedral, 13, Lagos Street, Ebute Meta, Lagos, on Sunday, November 29, 2015.
